Aamir Khan’s bald look

aamir3.jpg

Aamir Khan is one of the most versatile and talented actors (and now even a successful director) in the Indian film industry. The actor who is known for his quality of work is also well known for his impeccable sense of perfection in whatever he does and his attention for detail.

The actor-director gave us one of the most loved films of 2007, Taare Zameen Par, which had everyone raving about his directorial skills. However, not one to rest on his past laurels, Aamir is currently busy shooting for the much anticipated remake of the Tamil hit, Ghajini.

The film directed by A.Murugadoss, which is around 50% complete, has Aamir alongside south sensation Asin and Jiah Khan. Aamir is known to go all out when it comes to preparing for his roles and for this film he is going one step further to completely get into the skin of the character. Apparently, the script of the film requires Aamir to go bald, especially, in the second half and while some of the other B-town actors may have opted for the easy way out and preferred to put a wig, the perfectionist Khan has decided that he would indeed shave his head to suit the character.

Well, now if and when that does happen, it surely will be one of the most talked about make-overs of the year.

Aamir calls Aussie cricket team ‘arrogant’

aamir_khan_with_wife_kiran_rao.jpg
“We beat a team which is unfortunately very arrogant and decidedly badly behaved on the cricket field. I fail to understand why arguably the best team in the world has to behave so badly,” says Aamir Khan about India’s stunning Perth victory down under in his latest post (The washer and dryer effect) on his blog, aamirkhan.com. Basking in the glorious response to his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par, Khan admits that he doesn’t have time to rest as he starts shooting for the remaining portion of his next film Ghajini remake from January 22.

It’s also a known fact that Aamir Khan is producing an English film titled Delhi Belly (shooting for which will commence in March) but what you don’t know is that Aamir Khan Productions is producing another film (untitled so far), the shooting for which will start later this year. The only film under AKP that will release this year is Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the launch vehicle of Aamir’s nephew Imran Khan who is being touted as one of the most promising newcomers. Khan is currently working on its release plan.

According to Aamir Khan, TZP has overtaken Rang De Basanti’s box office collections. Although he is very happy with the way the film is being appreciated but at the same time he is unhappy with a certain section of his fans as well. “I am deeply disappointed with those of you who have watched TZP on a pirated DVD/VCD, or when illegally shown on cable or on websites which have illegally uploaded the film. How can you be my fans or fans of Indian cinema or any cinema for that matter if you steal from us? Sad.” And the good news for his fans is that he has finally given up smoking.

The only release of 2008 for Aamir Khan (as an actor) will be Ghajini remake that is slated to release on Diwali. The actor is supposed to shave off his hair for the latter half of the film.

Darsheel is quite a naughty kid in real life and he believes that the movie has completely changed his life. Talking about his favorite star Darsheel says that he adores Hrithik Roshan the most; the honest kid didn’t hesitate to say that Hrithik is his favorite star.

Darsheel is a dancer in Shiamak Davar troupe and he someday wants to groove like Hrithik. TZP was like a dream come true for the little kid but, one role Darsheel craves for is that of Harry Potter and he wants Aamir Khan to play Dumbledore.

Aamir Khan to produce Delhi Belly

aamir-khan-wall.jpg

Much against everyone’s expectations Aamir is far from sitting and relaxing after leaving no stone unturned with Taare Zameen Par. One will now find him channeling all his energies towards launching his nephew, Imraan in Jaane Tu, which is to be directed by Abbas Tyrewala.

Besides this, he is also working on Delhi Belly, an action comedy that’s based in Delhi. This time, Aamir will only produce and not direct it. The film will be made in English and is aimed at international audiences. Moreover, if sources are to be believed, then, a Swedish guy will direct this film, with a crew based in US and Europe. Aamir met the director during the making of Taare Zameen Par.

Aamir Khan in Shankar’s sci-fi film, Robot

aamir.jpg

Apparently, Aamir Khan is all set to play the lead in South director Shankar’s sci-fi film, Robot.

If sources are to be believed, Shankar met Aamir a few days ago.

Aamir is interested, and Shankar is busy with the film’s pre-production. However, it is still not known if Aamir will produce the film as well, or Shankar will rope in some other producer.

There was a lot of talk about Shah Rukh Khan doing the film under his banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. However, due to creative differences between SRK and Shankar, the two decided to part ways amicably.

Aamir will play a scientist who creates a robot with whom his physically challenged child can play with. However, things turn bad when the robot begins to kill people. Aamir then has to terminate his state-of-the-art invention.

Stay tuned in!
